FLIX

For put.io customers

Your put.io library, as a streaming service

FLIX turns the films and series in your put.io into posters, seasons and episodes, with a profile for everyone at home, on your phone, computer and TV.

Free to browse your library. £10 once to start watching.

Ready in three steps

  1. 1

    Create your FLIX account

Sign up with your email. Choose a settings PIN so only you can change things, and add a profile for each person at home.

  2. 2

    Connect put.io

Sign in on put.io's own page, or enter a short code at put.io/link from a TV. FLIX never sees your put.io password.

  3. 3

    Watch

FLIX reads your files, recognises your films and series, and fills in posters, episodes and details. New files appear by themselves.

Everything a streaming service does, for your own files

put.io keeps your files. FLIX makes them feel like a service you would pay for every month, without the monthly bill.

  • Posters, seasons and episodes

Your files become proper titles: artwork, descriptions, cast, trailers and episodes in order. Films in a series sit together as collections.

  • Profiles with PINs

Up to 10 people, each with their own Continue Watching, My List, picture and 4-digit PIN. Kids profiles only see what their rating allows.

  • Continue Watching and Up next

Pick up where you stopped on any device. The next episode starts at the credits, with Skip intro and Skip recap where you set them.

  • Search that understands you

Find a title from a typo, an actor, a director or an episode name. Browse by genre, language, decade or rating.

  • Watch together

Send a link and watch in step with family in another house: play, pause and skip happen for everyone.

  • New episode alerts

A notification when a new episode of a series you watch arrives in your put.io, and a New episodes row on Home.

  • Subtitles and audio

Subtitles from your files and from put.io, remembered per profile, with audio language choice where a file has several.

  • Built for TVs too

A TV layout you drive with a remote, casting from Chrome, AirPlay from Safari, and installable on phones and computers.

On the screens you already have

  • Phones and tablets

iPhone, iPad and Android. Add FLIX to your home screen and it opens full screen, like any app.

  • Computers

Chrome, Edge, Safari and Firefox on Windows, Mac and Linux. Install it from Chrome or Edge for its own window.

  • TVs

Samsung and LG TVs through their web browser in TV layout today, with dedicated TV apps on the way. Chromecast and AirPlay from your phone.

One purchase covers every device you sign in on.

One price. Once.

Questions

What is FLIX?

FLIX is an app that shows the films and series in your own put.io account as a streaming service, with posters, profiles, Continue Watching and search, and plays them straight from put.io.

Do I need a put.io account?

Yes. FLIX works with the files you already have in put.io and plays them from there. It has no films or series of its own and stores no video.

How much does it cost?

Looking around is free: connect put.io and browse your whole library. To start watching, it is £10, once, for your whole household on every device you sign in on. No subscription.

Is my put.io account safe?

You sign in on put.io's own page, so FLIX never sees your put.io password. FLIX keeps the access key put.io gives it encrypted, uses it only to read your library and play your files, and you can disconnect at any time.

Does it find new files by itself?

Yes. FLIX checks your put.io every 15 minutes and adds anything new, and tells profiles that follow a series when a new episode arrives.

What if FLIX cannot recognise a file?

It is listed in Settings under Fix matches, where you can choose the right title in a couple of taps or add details by hand for home videos.

Can children use it?

Yes. A kids profile only sees titles within its age rating, and household settings are locked behind a settings PIN that only you know.

Is FLIX part of put.io?

No. FLIX is an independent app made by AI Venture Studio Ltd that connects to put.io through its public sign-in, like the other apps listed by put.io.

It takes a couple of minutes to connect, and looking around costs nothing.
